My part: sewing

I brought the kid up right. It's the marriage, not the wedding, that takes precedence. Mari teaches at a day care (preschool) facility, and Keith is a park ranger. Although their jobs are among the most important, their salaries don't match their responsibilities. And, being grown-ups, they know how to allocate the funds they have. Mari bought her wedding dress from a thrift (charity) shop. Then, of course, she asked me to do the alterations. I have never had to take apart a bodice and so many varieties of skirt, then shorten all the skirt parts 7 inches, then put it all back together again! Live and learn.

And I volunteered to make Ardyn's dress. Naturally, she was an integral part of the ceremony. She loved coming over to try on the parts at various stages. And I was surprised that someone only 4 years old could stand still, turn little bits, and put up with all the pinning, tucking, marking, and all.

The dresses, done.

Of course, Ardyn wanted a picure of her and her pal Fergie.
